American actress, Anna Faris has offered an insight following her shocking split from her husband of eight years, actor Chris Pratt.
Anna and Chris, who married in 2009 after meeting on the set of Take Me Home Tonight, released a joint statement earlier this month, which read: 'We are sad to announce we are legally separating.
'We tried hard for a long time, and we’re really disappointed. Our son has two parents who love him very much and for his sake, we went to keep this situation as private as possible moving forward. We still love each other and will always cherish our time together, the statement read.
On Tuesday, Anna took to her podcast 'My Favourite Murder' where she gave an insight about her broken union while offering relationship advice to a caller when she revealed: 'Life is too short to be in relationships where you feel this isn't fully right or somebody doesn't have your back, or somebody doesn't fully value you.'
Anna continued her heartfelt message: 'Don't be afraid to feel your independence if things aren't right.'
Highlighting her failed romance with Chris, she reflected: 'I made that mistake, I think, a little bit, like "I'm checking my relationship off the list" and if that would be the final piece of advice I could give you, that would know your worth, know your independence.'
'There are so many people out there, there's so much life experience, I hope you get to live it all and experience a whole lot of people,' she concluded.
The couple's shocking split was blamed upon actress Jennifer Lawrence who was rumored to have hooked up with Chris Pratt while shooting the sci-fi film, 'Passengers' but the pair vehemently denied it.
