Sky plc to stop broadcasting Fox News in UK after 15 years

Sky will stop broadcasting Rupert Murdoch's right-wing US channel Fox News in the UK after 15 years because it is no longer seen as commercially viable. 

His US media group, 21st Century Fox, announced it would withdrawn the controversial news channel from Sky packages on Tuesday but insisted that the decision has nothing to do with a potential investigation into the firm's bid to takeover the remaining shares of Sky plc – Sky's parent company.

A UK-born man has been ordered to leave the country by immigration officials who say he is not British, despite having lived here his entire life. 

Shane Ridge, from Colne in Lancashire, was threatened with a £5,000 fine or potential prison sentence if he does not leave the UK because his Australian-born mother and British father were never married.

In a report to South Korea’s parliament yesterday, representatives of the country’s National Intelligence Service said they believed the North Korean dictator’s wife Ri Sol-Ju had given birth in February.

“Lakewood Church is inaccessible due to severe flooding! We want to help make sure you are safe,” the post read.

It included a list of resources for those affected by the storm, including the addresses for temporary shelters.
